Training events can be very effective ways of changing attitudes and changing work practices in terms of language use within the voluntary and community sector. Usually a training event will be arranged as part of a wider process of developing bilingualism within a voluntary organisation, such as the introduction of a Welsh Language Scheme.
Estyn Llaw can deliver training sessions that deal with such themes as:
• Welsh Languge Awareness
• Developing Bilingualism within the voluntary sector
• Working with the voluntary sector
• Arranging and chairing bilingual meetings
• Recruting bilingual volunteers
• Marketing your organisation bilingually
IAITH cyf., the charity that administers the Estyn Llaw scheme, also offers a comprehensive training programme for the public, private and voluntary sectors. The programme is updated regularly. Click
