Organisations in all parts of Wales are recognising the benefits of being able to offer services in both Welsh and English to members of the public in Wales. There is an emphasis and ethos within the third sector which promotes equality and inclusivity, and in keeping with this, Estyn Llaw provides advice to voluntary and community groups on how to avoid excluding and marginalising Welsh speakers, by operating in a linguistically and culturally appropriate manner.
In addition to being an element of good practise within the equalities agenda, bilingualism can also assist in opening new funding avenues in terms of Welsh and European public funds, as well as enhancing fundraising and marketing oppertunites within Wales.
