The Third Sector Development Fund will once more be available (subject to funding) from April 2011 to voluntary organisations with approved Welsh Language Schemes. The fund is administered by Estyn Llaw and funded by the Welsh Language Board.
The Fund was originally set up to encourage and enable third sector organisations to implement new initiatives in order to develop good practice in bilingualism, biculturalism and the use of the Welsh language.
Once more we will be looking for initiatives that will,
• increase participation by Welsh speakers;
• enhance the quality of services available to Welsh speakers;
• enrich the dignity of service users;
• recruit Welsh speaking volunteers;
• foster cultural understanding;
• develop advisory services to address points of crisis and stress.
The 2010/11 funding round has now closed. We hope to be able to invite new applications for the 2011/12 Development Fund during April 2011
